Dutch Auction AppletParametersThe Dutch auction applet can be controlled by various parameters that are configured by the auction administrator prior to the auction activation. The parameters are saved in a file - *.duc (shortcut to Dutch aUCtion), while the English auction parameters are save in a file - *.auc. These parameters are arranged in a form and are configured according to the following explanation: (1) Player name: This field contains the name of the participant. (2) Auction title: Specifies the title of this auction. (3) Delay: Specifies the speed of the auction (100 is a typical value). (4) Product name: The title that will be displayed above the product picture. (5) Product picture file name: The name of the graphic file that contains the image of the product (the file must reside in the current directory). (6) Number of auctions: Each round has consecutive auctions. This parameter specifies the number of auctions. (7) Market value: of the product. This parameter will be presented next to the product title. (8) InitRuns: Number of auctions that the other bidders will try to win at any reasonable price. (9) FinalRoundsMaxBid: The high price that the other bidders are willing to pay in the rest of the auctions. (10) Enable players number (0-no/1-yes): Display / Hide the players number information. (11) Enable faces (0-no/1-yes): Display / Hide the faces of the participants. (12) Enable chat (0-no/1-yes): Display / Hide the chat window. (13) Enable product information (0-no/1-yes): Display / Hide the product information window. (14) Enable bidders information (0-no/1-yes): Display / Hide additional bidders information. (15) Other bidders are amateurs (0-no/1-yes): Professionals / Amateurs. (16) Random bidders (0-no/1-yes): Select the bidders randomly / fix. (17) Product information line1: The first line of data that will be displayed in the product information window. (18) Time to display line1 (seconds from beginning of applet). (19) Product information line 2: The first line of data that will be displayed in the product information window. (20) Time to display line2 (seconds from beginning of applet). (21) Product information line 3: The first line of data that will be displayed in the product information window. (22) Time to display line 3 (seconds from beginning of applet). (23) Product information line 4: The first line of data that will be displayed in the product information window. (24) Time to display line 4 (seconds from beginning of applet). (25) Minimal bid.
