Parameters


The English Auction applet can be controlled by various parameters that can be configured by the auction administrator prior to the auction activation.

These parameters are arranged in a form and can be edited according to the following explanation:

 

(1)     Player name: This field contains the name of the current participant

(2)     Auction title: The title that will displayed on the top of the auction screen

(3)     Product name: The title that will be displayed above the product picture

(4)     Product picture file name: The name of the graphic file that contains the image of the product (the file must reside in the current directory)

(5)     Time left to play in the auction: Number of seconds left to bid

(6)     Raise bid by (US Dollars): Bid increment

(7)     Enable proxy (0-no/1-yes): Display / Hide the proxy window

(8)     Enable faces (0-no/1-yes): Display / Hide the faces of the participants

(9)     Random bidders (0-no/1-yes): Select the bidders randomly / fix

(10)  Enable product information (0-no/1-yes): Display / Hide the product information window

(11)  Enable bidders information (0-no/1-yes): Display / Hide additional bidders information

(12)  Other bidders are amateurs (0-no/1-yes): Professionals / Amateurs

(13)  Product information line1: The first line of data that will be displayed in the product information window

(14)  Time to display line1 (seconds from beginning of applet)

(15)  Product information line 2: The first line of data that will be displayed in the product information window

(16)  Time to display line2 (seconds from beginning of applet)

(17)  Product information line 3: The first line of data that will be displayed in the product information window

(18)  Time to display line 3 (seconds from beginning of applet)

(19)  Product information line 4: The first line of data that will be displayed in the product information window

(20)  Time to display line 4 (seconds from beginning of applet)

(21)  Total auction time (minutes)

(22)  Starting bid (+random which is added): The bid of the first bidder

(23)  Number of bidders (beside player) (1-5)

(24)  Previous number of bidders

(25)  File to return to (in the current directory)
