Doctoral Degree Studies

A research student is required to design and implement an original and independent study that is innovative at least to some extent and makes a substantive contribution to advancing knowledge and understanding in the research area of his/her studies. The dissertation must be written according to the structure and terminology customary in professional literature.
In addition, a research student must demonstrate a command of the background material and literature of his/her field of specialization and successfully complete all required studies (among them, supplementary courses and languages), as well as all other applicable obligations in accordance with the official regulations of Ph.D. studies. The general structure for doctoral studies and other details in connection with writing a research proposal and the dissertation, are set down in these regulations.
