Dr Rob Baum holds degrees from The
University of Alaska, Brown
University, and The University of
California at Santa Barbara, where she wrote her PhD dissertation on
"forging Female Identity: The Performance of Metaphor and Absence"
under Bert O. States (1995). She has been a Post-Doctorate fellow in the
Department of General Studies at the
Technion, Haifa, and teaches movement and performance at the
Department of Theatre, University of Haifa.
Baum has published articles on performance, female identity, and African initiation ceremonies and wrote and directed several plays. Among her interests are therapeutic and ethnic movement, oral poetry, feminist theatre and performance.
